Lebanese embassies call on expat voters to register for voting from abroad. This is in accordance with Lebanese law number 25 (2008) - article 106, published in the Official Lebanese Gazette, in Arabic. Translation of of Law 25 - article 106 is coming soon.

The number of expat voters that register will indicate the diaspora's involvement in the elections.  Lebanese embassies did not reach out to Lebanese expats about the procedure. This could result in misinterpreting the interest of expats in the 2013 elections. A cabinet member in Lebanon has already claimed that "most expatriates seem unwilling to register in Lebanese missions to vote".

Expats deserve the chance to express their investment in the 2013 elections. Make your voice count, file your expat-voter registration form by December 31st, 2012.
